Harry Potter & The Half- Blood Prince MISTAKES!!!

While The Book 7 is still under Construction You can enjoy some great goof-ups from the Book 6!!!!!

• The cover illustration portrays Dumbledore with a normal-looking right hand, but the text makes it clear that it is Dumbledore's right hand and arm (p. 58) that are blackened and shriveled (p. 48), and that are still in such condition at the precise moment depicted by the cover illustration (p. 567).
  
  
• In the American edition, when Dumbledore and Harry enter Horace Slughorn's house, something "darkly red and glutinous was spattered over the wallpaper." Later, when asked what kind of blood it was, Slughorn explains, "On the walls? Dragon... My last bottle, and prices are sky-high at the moment." (p. 65) However, in Book 5 (OOTP), when Hagrid finally returns in Chapter 20, he is nursing his bloodied face with a green-tinged steak of dragon meat. "He picked up the steak and slapped it over the left side of his face. Greenish blood trickled down into his beard as he gave a soft moan of satisfaction." (p. 422)
  
  
• In the American Edition, page 188, Slughorn says, "One tiny bottle of Felix Felicis enough for twelve hours' luck. From dusk til' dawn, you will be lucky in everything you attempt."
  
  But then on page 476, Harry says, "I don't reckon I'll need all of it, not twenty-four hours' worth..."
  
  
• On page 176 of HBP, UK edition, it states "Malfoy looked rather as he had done the time Hermione had punched him in the face." However, on page 216 of the UK POA, Hermione "...had slapped Malfoy around the face with all the strength she could muster."

5. Harry and Ron become Aurors.
6. Draco turns good and helps Harry at the final battle.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Jackets Released

Bloomsbury Publishing Plc is delighted to release the book jacket images for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K.Rowling, to be published on 21st July 2007. The cover illustration for the children’s edition is by Jason Cockcroft, who drew the cover illustrations for the previous two Harry Potter books: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The cover design for the adult edition is from a photograph by Michael Wildsmith, who has photographed all the adult edition jackets.

These covers will be used throughout the world on the English language editions excluding the USA. Scholastic US have also released their cover images of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. In a joint venture with HNP, Bloomsbury will publish the children’s edition, adult edition, special edition, audio (read by Stephen Fry) and large print editions on 21st July 2007. The RNIB will publish the Braille edition simultaneously. The book jackets and all the pages will be printed on 100% Ancient Forest Friendly pulp, made from a mixture of FSC pulp and Post-Consumer Waste recycled pulp.

On Dec. 21, 2006, J.K. Rowling announced via her Web site, and her publishers later via press release, that the final book will be called Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Put that in your hat and analyze it.

2007 marks the tenth anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The Harry Potter series has gone on to sell 325 million copies worldwide and been translated into 64 languages. The last book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, sold 2,009,574* copies in the UK on the first day of its release, making it the fastest-selling book of all time. All six Harry Potter books have been number one bestsellers around the world.
